How to Delete or Recover a Drive

Deleting a drive in MileIQ is straightforward and can be done via the mobile app or the web dashboard. Follow the steps below based on your preferred platform.

Deleted a drive by mistake? Deleted drives are moved to the Trash bin, where you can recover them for 30 days. See Recovering a Deleted Drive below.

Deleting a Drive Using the Mobile App

For Unclassified Drives:

  1. On the Home screen, locate the unclassified drive you want to delete.
  2. Tap the trash can icon in the bottom-right corner of the drive screen to delete it.

For Classified Drives:

  1. Open the app and go to All Drives.
  2. Locate and select the drive you wish to delete.
  3. Tap the Delete button at the bottom of the screen.
  4. You’ll be prompted to confirm the deletion by selecting a reason. Once confirmed, the drive is moved to the Trash bin.

Undo a Deletion:

If you accidentally delete a drive, tap the Undo button that appears immediately after deletion to restore it.

Deleting a Drive Using the Web Dashboard

You have two simple methods to delete a drive on the web dashboard:

Hover and Delete

  1. Locate the drive you want to delete.
  2. Hover over it and click the trash can icon that appears.
  3. Confirm the deletion on the next screen.

Click and Delete

  1. Select the drive by clicking anywhere on its row. A sidebar with drive details will appear.
  2. Click the Delete button.
  3. Confirm the deletion on the following screen.

Undo a Deletion:

If you accidentally delete a drive, click the Undo button that appears immediately after the deletion to restore it.

Recovering a Deleted Drive

Missed the Undo window? You can still recover (undelete) a drive yourself from the Trash bin for up to 30 days after you deleted it. The drive is restored with its original details and classification.

On iPhone (iOS app)

  1. Open the MileIQ app and go to the Drives tab.
  2. Tap the trash can icon in the top bar to open the Trash bin.
  3. Select the drive you want to recover.
  4. Tap Recover.

On the web dashboard

  1. Log in to the MileIQ web dashboard.
  2. Go to Drives and click Trash in the top-right corner.
  3. Select the drive you want to recover.
  4. Click Recover.

On Android

The Trash bin isn't available in the Android app. To recover a deleted drive, use the web dashboard.

After 30 days

Drives stay in the Trash bin for 30 days. After that, they're permanently deleted and can't be recovered. If you still need the drive, you can add it manually.
