MileIQ reports include all the information you need to stay tax-compliant. These reports detail the date, destination, and distance for each captured and classified drive. A MileIQ report can be generated from either the MileIQ app, or from the MileIQ Web Dashboard.
Create a report from the MileIQ app
The easiest way to create a MileIQ report is through the MileIQ app. Once you've classified any drives you need in the report (see How to classify Drives for more info), do the following:
- On the Unclassified Drives screen, tap on the Report button
in the upper right
- Choose the appropriate option from the menu choices presented
- A report will be sent to your email in PDF and spreadsheet formats
For more information, including screenshots detailing the process (iOS and Android), please see Generating mobile Reports.
Create a report from the MileIQ Web Dashboard
There are two ways to create a report from the MileIQ Web Dashboard, at https://dashboard.mileiq.com. The simplest and easiest way to create a report based on a date with general criteria would be through the Reports Tab. While a more fine-tuned report can be created through the Drives view, each is briefly explained below.
Reports Tab
The Reports tab (at https://dashboard.mileiq.com/reports) allows you to generate a MileIQ report based on three simple criteria: 1) date, 2) classification (business vs personal) and 3) vehicle assigned to drives. To learn more about how to generate a report from the Reports view, please see How to create a Report through the Dashboard (Simple).
Click the Reports Tab on the left.
Then select the filters that you need to report on.
Click "Create this report".
Give your report a Name and fill out any other additional details you may need, then click "Create and send report".
You'll see confirmation that the report has been sent to your email address.
Once the report is created and sent, it will then appear in the Archived reports section for you to access again in the future.
Drives View
The Drives Tab (at https://dashboard.mileiq.com/drives) allows you to generate a MileIQ report through more advanced criteria. In addition to date, classification (personal/business) and vehicle, you can filter your drive selection by custom purpose, classification method (auto-classify vs manually), and no vehicle assigned. To learn more about how to generate a report from the Drives view, please see How to create a Report through the Dashboard (advanced).
From the Drives tab, you can select the appropriate filters to see only the drives you want to include in a report.
Once filtered, select all the drives that meet your requirements, then click "Report" in the right column.
Give your report a Name and fill out any other additional details you may need, then click "Create and send report".
You'll be taken automatically to the Reports tab where a confirmation message will appear at the bottom.
Once the report is created and sent, it will then appear in the Archived reports section for you to access again in the future.
