MileIQ for Teams: I’m being charged for two subscriptions. What should I do?

  • Updated

When drivers convert from an individual MileIQ subscription to a Teams subscription, it’s possible to end up with duplicate charges. This happens because upgrading to a Teams subscription does not automatically cancel existing individual subscriptions. If the individual subscription isn’t canceled, you may be billed for Premium access to MileIQ twice. Here's how to solve it:

Check for duplicate subscriptions

Look at the driver’s account to see if they have both an individual subscription (through Apple or Google Play) and a Teams subscription. Only one subscription is needed to access Premium MileIQ.

Cancel the unnecessary subscription

If a duplicate subscription exists, the driver should cancel the individual subscription. To do that, drivers can follow the instructions in this dedicated Help Center article. Kindly note that refund eligibility may vary depending on the platform.

⚠️ Cancelling an individual subscription does not remove drives or classifications—all previously logged data stays in the account.

Prevent future duplicate charges

Before converting a driver to a Team subscription, make sure any existing individual subscription is canceled. Monitoring your Team for duplicate subscriptions can help ensure accurate billing and uninterrupted Premium access.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: Will cancelling an individual subscription remove drives or classifications?
A1: No. All previously logged drives and classifications remain intact.

Q2: Can MileIQ Support cancel Apple/Google subscriptions on behalf of a driver?
A2: No. Apple/Google restricts third-party access to billing. Drivers must cancel through their device.

Q3: If I’m the only user on my Team, do I need a Team subscription?
A3: Not necessarily. Teams are designed for managing multiple accounts. Single users may only need a standalone Premium subscription.
