MileIQ for Teams: I’m trying to add a driver but I receive an error message. What should I do?

As an Admin, you may occasionally encounter an error when adding a new driver to your Team. This usually happens due to email conflicts, pending invitations, or billing issues.

How to Add a Driver

  1. Go to the Teams Dashboard in your MileIQ account.

  2. Click Add Driver.

  3. Enter the driver’s email address and select the appropriate role (Driver or Admin + Driver).

  4. Click Send Invitation.

The driver will receive an email invitation prompting them to create a MileIQ account and join your Team.

Common Issues and Solutions


⚠️ Email Already Invited / Pending Invitation

If the driver’s email address has already been invited, they cannot be invited again.

✅ Solution:

  • Ask the driver to check their inbox and spam/junk folders to accept the invitation.

  • If they never received the invite, you can resend the invitation from the Teams Dashboard. This ensures they get another email to create a MileIQ account and join your Team.


⚠️ Billing Issues

If you see an infinite loading spinner when sending adding a driver, it may be due to a billing issue with your Teams account (for example, a declined payment). When this happens, the invite can’t be processed until the billing problem is resolved.

✅ Solution: Contact your bank to ensure there are no blocks or declined charges for MileIQ for Teams. Once billing issues are resolved, you can try adding the driver again.
