If you're paying for your team's individual subscriptions and you'd like to upgrade to one of our Teams subscriptions, the process is designed to make the transition smooth — and ensure you receive credit for any unused time on existing individual subscriptions.
How does it work
If you haven't used it already, you can sign up for a 30-day free trial of MileIQ Teams Pro and start inviting your drivers right away. When your trial ends and your paid Teams subscription begins, each driver will see a pop-up asking: Was your individual subscription paid for by you or by your admin?
When a driver selects Paid for by the admin, your Team will receive a prorated credit for the remaining time left on that driver’s individual subscription. This credit can be applied toward your renewal or when adding new drivers to your Team.
For more details, refer to this dedicated Help Center article:
Will I be credited for drivers’ individual subscriptions if I upgrade to Teams?
⚠️ Drivers must still cancel their subscription ⚠️
Even after the credit is applied, drivers must cancel their individual subscriptions themselves to avoid double-billing in the future.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: How long does it take to see the credit?
A1: Credits are applied to your Teams account shortly after the driver confirms the admin paid for their subscription.
Q2: I don't see any credits on the Dashboard. Is that normal?
A2: Yes. Your credit balance does not display on the Dashboard. It’s recorded in our backend and will automatically be applied toward any purchased seats or renewals.
Q4: Will unused time on my own subscription also be credited?
A4: Yes. Any unused time will be credited to your Teams account.
By following these steps and making sure all drivers confirm and cancel their individual subscriptions, you can transition to MileIQ for Teams smoothly — without paying twice.
