š Getting Started with MileIQ: Tracking Your First Drive
Welcome to MileIQ! Once you've installed the app, you're just one drive away from unlocking automatic mileage tracking.
ā Step 1: Check Your Settings
Before hitting the road, make sure Location Services are enabled on your device. This allows MileIQ to automatically detect and track your drives with precisionāno manual input needed.
š£ļø Step 2: Take Your First Drive
Thereās no need to press start or stopāMileIQ tracks drives automatically. Just go for a drive, and MileIQ will do the rest!
ā³ Step 3: After the Drive
Once youāve parked and stopped moving, give the app up to 15 minutes to process your drive. This āsettling timeā helps ensure MileIQ correctly identifies your trip and that it has truly ended.
š§ In areas with poor signal (like underground parking), processing might take a bit longer.
When your drive is ready, a drive card will appear in the app with:
- Start and end locations
- Mileage
- Duration
šļø Step 4: Classify Your Drive
Swipe to classify:
- š Swipe right for Business
- š Swipe left for Personal

After classification, your drives will be sent to the Web Dashboard at dashboard.mileiq.com, where you can:
- Edit drive details
- Generate reports
- Access advanced tools
š Optional: Name Frequent Locations
If your first drive includes a location you visit often (and it's not within 0.12 miles of another saved spot), you can name it for easy future reference.
